Following on from the summary breakdown, there’s now a singleplayer video for Armored Core V over at From Software’s YouTube channel, as well as another live recording from Frequency (suitably Armored Core V themed to boot). There’s only one more video breakdown to go before the end of December.

Following on from the team breakdown, there’s now a game summary (or “sammary”) video for Armored Core V over at From Software’s YouTube channel. This covers the campaign setup in some detail but, again, nothing that we don’t already know. There are two more breakdown moves planned by the end of December.

What with the veritable clusterfuck of gaming releases over the past few months, Armored Core V has wisely kept quiet so as to wait for a gap in the PR orgy. So From Software have opted to start showing informed videos on their YouTube channel, that are linked off the official site. 4Gamer picked up the first of these about the game’s team play setup. It doesn’t really go into too much we don’t already know, but it does collate most of the relevant information into a quick coherent package. There will be follow up videos throughout December as well, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for those too.

For those who haven’t heard the news, Capcom is accepting emblem designs for the upcoming Xbox 360 pseudo-sequel. The deadline is November 15th, 11:59pm, which depending on where you live, is either a little less than 24 hours away, or a little over.
Capcom of America, UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Japan (naturally) are all taking part. Each region has it’s own preferred method of accepting submissions; because I live in the US, I’ll simply pass along Capcom Unity’s blog post on the matter, which can redirect all interested parties to his or her local branch of Capcom.
Though what’s being asked is fairly consistent across the board: 512×512 pixels, preferably a layered Photoshop file, though jpegs, pngs, tiffs, and bitmaps are also accepted. Hopefully one of our fine readers will create a distinctly Mecha Damashii-ish design on everyone’s behalf!

A brand new trailer for Steel Battalion Heavy Armor has surfaced, doing its best to emphasise the dual nature of the game’s controls (as in a mixture of pad and Kinect). The trailer does a good job of showing how this stuff looks like in game but until we get our hands on (or floating in the case of Kinect) with the game we’ll reserve judgement on whether it will actually work out or not. If we’re honest we still hanker for a massive and complex controller as per the original Xbox games, but what with the current publisher mandate of assuming that all gamers are fickle useless idiots I doubt we’ll see anything quite that awesome for a long time to come.

4Gamer has a follow on piece for Armored Core V regarding the reveal of the Moonlight and Karasawa. It seems that the huge MT-esque enemy “TypeD No.5” (shown above) will be part of an extra mission framework. Where four players, minus an operator, will square off against particularly difficult enemies. The update also shows some new areas as well as various turret types used for territory defense.
Updated: Famitsu has also a pretty nifty update about the game’s Order Matches.
