From the incomparable gevurah22, creator of many other LittleBigPlanet mecha creations, has outdone himself yet again with a LittleBigPlanet 2 stage entitled The Gundam Wing Project: Survival Training. The video below shows the Wing Gundam unbelievably well-animated for something put together in a game’s somewhat simplistic editor, and the author is continuing to add content to the stage, including a boss fight against the Wing Gundam’s nemesis, the Tallgeese. The Tallgeese might have a silly name and a silly red hat, but those backpack verniers will make any Gundam come down with a case of thruster envy.
AU before UC? BLASPHEMY!
The author has worked on Universal Century stuff before, so him dabbling in the Alternate Universe stuff should be forgivable even to UC diehards. And, in terms of game mechanics, there’s a lot that can be done with the Wing Gundam than can be done with the regular RX-78–the different settings on the Buster Rifle give you different scales of attacks, while retaining the First Gundam’s beam saber and vulcans. The Wing’s wing thrusters and shield also allow for a certain dynamism and add feedback to the player’s inputs, as well. It’s not a bad choice at all for a “Survival” mode type map such as this.

Man, don’t be so cruel, may not be UC, but it’s GW. Not the best, but it is the one that started everything for the Gundam Universe out of Japan (as I know).

Wow, I can’t believe you guys can’t just appreciate good work, regardless of the series its based on. I hate GW, but this mod is awesome.
