Bandai Namco have released a new 14 minute PV for Gundam Extreme Versus Force. This time they showcases many of the playable mobile suits from the different Gundam series and accompanied by their respective soundtracks. We also get to see more of the new units in action, such as the pack switching from the G-Self and 4th Form Barbatos using the katana. As the game is said to have around 80 playable units, here’s to hoping we see more brand new ones like the Gouf Ignited. The PV also showed off the ability to have mobile armors in your team as well. Hopefully they’ll be actually playable in some form. The game is coming out in a couple weeks in Japan, but as always we’ll keep you updated as much as possible. Until then, check out the PV below!

A number of new and returning mobile suits have been announced to join the Gundam Extreme Versus Force roster. The first one is Heine Westenfluss’ Destiny Gundam, a variant suit from Gundam Seed Destiny. This is a first print bonus that will be available at the Japanese version’s launch on December 23, 2015. As T.M. Revolution is the VA for Heine Westenfluss and is also providing the title track to the game, it’s no surprise Bandai Namco would have more in store for the popular artist in-game. Other suits recently added to the roster are Char’s Gelgoog, Quebeley, and V2 Gundam. There’s still plenty of suits to be announced and we’ll keep you updated on what’s is coming up next. Until then, check out the video below to see the new Destiny Gundam in action!

News: Tamashii Nations 2015 Impresses With Lots On Show

tamashii_nations_2015_new

The recent Tamashii Nations 2015 event over last weekend was one of certain significance, showing off all manner of new toys it was interesting to see a very large resurgence of classic designs. The main contender being of course Macross, with the recently announced Macross Delta getting a good amount of love. With the series’ latest variable fighters on show (the new VF-31 is shown above). The big surprises on the Macross front though were the inclusion of the VF-4 Lightning III and VF-2SS SAP as part of the new VF HI-METAL R range. Not to mention the sheer volume of classic Macross toys on the way, with a huge DX Soul of Chogokin VF-1J being very notable.

Bar the huge Macross showing, there was a lot of other surprises too. From the Robot Damashii Sirbine to the Robot Damashii Patlabor mecha, it seems Bandai are finally pulling their finger out and really going after what fans actually want. The icing on the cake being the Super Robot Chogokin Giant Robo, which has been far too long in coming.

Overall it was an amazing show and had a lot of awesome toys on show and to look forward to. If you want to see more of the event then you can do so here and here.

Following the announcement for the PS4 VR game Rigs, we now have an updated gameplay promo video to look at (shown below). Despite the somewhat pretentious slow motion cuts used in the new trailer, the game looks good. I got to briefly see it at this year’s Tokyo Game Show and it’s a competent game and should work well once it is out in the wild. Still no details on when that will be though but thus far I am hopeful that this will be actually decent.

The teaser site for a new Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost game went live today and it reveals an update to the game in the form of Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost On. What’s more there will be locations occurring in Japan over the weekend. Interestingly, the game also includes both the G-Self and Gundam Barbatos that will be present in the upcoming PS Vita game Gundam Extreme Versus Force. In addition, the game will also include a new Extend Burst mode to the already existing Shooting and Fighting types. No word on an arcade release but considering the timing of the location tests I am guessing it will be out before the end of the year here.

Looks like another Gundam AGE unit is added to the ever growing Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost roster. This time it’s Gundam Legilis, a 3000 cost unit that can put out a lot of pressure with its usage of the Legilis bits and its speed. It’s interesting this was released before AGE-3. And although I would have liked to see it in its red incarnation, there’s already the Zeydra that’s also piloted by Zehart Galette. Check out the video below to see it in action!

exvscount

Bandai Namco have just recently uploaded a new countdown site for Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost. Apparently, this is for a brand new update to the existing game and is heralded as “the most exciting version.” While my personal exciting version would be a home release as we still have not received word as to when that will show up, I’m guessing this update will have massive balance changes across the board and possibly new units as well. Perhaps this might also be a shift in how Gundam VS games will be updated from now on versus incremental sequels. Another thing to note is that the countdown date expires around the same time Playstation’s Paris Game Show event starts next week! Coincidence? Let us know below about what you think will show up in this update.

Bandai Namco have recently released a brand new mobile RPG called Super Gundam Royale. Developed by DeNA of FF Record Keeper fame and a sequel to the original Gundam Royale on mobile, Super Gundam Royale lets you build teams of mobile suits from different Gundam series and fight in loads of familiar scenarios from the shows. As this is an F2P, there is a stamina system on top of the gatcha where you either spend gems that are collected from the quests and bonuses or you spend your hard earned money. With an art style that evokes the G Generation games, this is looking to be a very addictive mobile game if you’re already into the gatcha style that Japanese mobile games are well known for. You can download it from the Japanese iOS or Google Play store for your device. Check out the Super PV below, narrated by Noboyuki Hiyama a.k.a. Shiro Amada from the 08th M.S. Team.

Sony Japan has just released new information regarding limited edition versions of the Gundam Extreme Versus Force Vita and Playtation TV in December 23. With a price tag of 27,980 yen for the Vita and 18,180 for the PlayStation TV, you get an etched console, the game, special themes, and a nice collectors storage box. While I was hoping for a Zeon Red Vita like the limited edition PSP that came with Gihren’s Greed, these are relatively tasteful customized versions that would look good on anyone’s shelf. If you want to grab one, you’ll have to go through the Japanese Sony Style store to do so. Let us know below if you’re planning on ordering one of these!

Bandai Namco have uploaded a new PV showcasing the different modes found in Gundam Extreme Versus Force for the Playstation Vita. While we know what to expect from the 2v2 fighting that is a staple of the Gundam Versus series, this promo highlights new gameplay mechanics tied to the Force System in the single player mode. You can call for ordinance attacks with your chosen ships and restore stats via the Force Points you gain from defeating enemies and capturing bases. With Ad-Hoc mode, you can not only do the normal 2v2 versus, but you can play in squad battles and base capturing as well.

On the new mobile suit front, Heine’s Gouf Ignited from Gundam Seed Destiny has joined the roster as TM Revolution is performing the main theme song for the game (who also is the seiyuu of Heine Westenfluss). Gundam Barbatos fourth form is a first print DLC when you purchase the game, whereas Gundam Barbatos first form can be attained when you purchase the first Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Blu-Ray. Gundam Mk-II Titans version is also shown as playable, which makes us wonder what other mobile suits from the Extreme Versus roster will show up. If you happen to play the UC Card Builder game, you’ll also get an RX-78 card for it as well with the purchase of the game. Until more info appears before the December release, check out the video below.

You can also pre-order the English version of the game here.
