News: Gundam Extreme Versus Force To Be Released On PS Vita

Posted on : 15-09-2015 | By : | In : News, Videos

Following the news that the next Gundam Extreme Versus game would be shown at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, we now know that Gundam Extreme Versus Force will very likely be a PS Vita exclusive. In the launch trailer (shown below) we see all manner of new game modes and mobile suits, with the YG-111 Gundam G-Self being notable. The upcoming ASW-G-66 Gundam Barbatos may also be present in the game but no further details are available about that yet. This will be the first named entry in the series to not have an initial arcade release. While this is definitely a PS Vita game we may yet still see a PS4 game come out but we’ll just have to wait and see if anything else pops up. No release is currently set but it’s probable we’ll see something next year.

And so it begins…. the same thing that happened to the ps2 games going to the psp, PS3 now shares the same fate, Maxi Boost wont be coming out for PS3 or PS4 for awhile then (if ever) because this is not the new version of the game many of us thought it would be. I’d be surprised if MB isn’t just ported to the Vita and skips PS4, just like Next skipped PS2 and PS3. I can already see the salt from some fans across forums, it’s how I felt about the ps2 gundam days back then, but I eventually came around to the idea of playing on the psp. With this and that new vanillaware game I might well pick up a Vita. The only problem like next on psp this game seems ad-hoc only, which is going to kill MP for many people. Zero word on any kind of Updated PS3 or PS4 game is not a good sign and might explain why FB was getting all that new DLC, because we wont see MB. Not sure how the lock on system is going to work with those new modes they showed either, works well 2v2 but more than that can get a bit crazy.

look, you’re right, but to be honest ive just came back from a 2 month trip to japan and played maxi boost every 2 days or so, it’s not worth it, sorry to break it to you, if you bought most of the MB dlc for FB then even if MB was ported to ps3/4 it wouldn’t be worth it. the game is exactly the same, with worst graphics (i liked the cell shading from FB better) and yea…i even got to play quanta FS and nightningale thingy, they sucked, and most of the Age suits sucked as well, they all felt like clones to some degree, the only 2 suits i liked were zanbanya and the GNflag from traiblazer. i was really hoping FORCE would be a new franchise and this news basically killed it for me. so yea. MB isn’t ALL THAT. the new system is gimmiky too and didn’t add much if anything to the gameplay

Well I don’t think the graphics look that much different, yet I haven’t seen MB up and close with my own eyes. In any case theirs no way MB will come to PS3/4/Vita until theirs a new game in the series for Arcades. This is probably 6months away if not further, so I will probably just get FB and this Vita game.

If anything this is better than with the PSP releases because with the Vita TV you COULD play this on your TV. And I mean, in the west the Vita costs basically nothing.
