News: Possible Gundam Extreme Versus Port

Over at Gundam.info they’re teasing a new release, using a silhouette somewhat similar to the Extreme Gundam from Gundam Extreme Versus. We’re hoping this means we’ll be finally seeing a PS3 port of the game sometime later this year. In any case, the full brief will be divulged via a live stream on June 13th. The fact that Bandai Namco are handling the stream makes us think this is likely to be game related, but who knows.
Update: Anime News Network is reporting this could more likely be a new anime series than a game announcement. Anyway, we’ll know more on June 13th.
It seems that other Gundam-related sites are using the image to refer to a new Gundam series to be announced on the same date rather than a Gundam game port or something along the lines…
It should also be pointed out that this silhouette does not look like the Extreme Gundam. The Extreme has four prongs in it’s crest, and blocky square shoulders, whereas this one has more angular shoulders, two prongs, and some sort of collar prong like some of the gundams from 00.
We said it looks “somewhat similar” not exactly the same. It’s likely that this is a new anime now but there were rumours that this could have been a new boss for a home port of GEX (similar to the Extreme Gundam).

That is definitely the same silhouette that was leaked about the new series.Bamco isn’t done updating EXVS yet so a port won’t be happening for a while.
Certainly doesn’t look like a UC mech to me. And if so, I’m quite glad. Also, some staff from 00 are apparently going to be working on it, so I’m holding out hope for Windfall as a main mech designer. His works are amazing.
Absolutely, Takayuki Yanase is a very talented chap. Not sure it looks like one of his though. Guess we’ll find out on the 13th.
They need to give Kenki Fujioka a turn.His designs get so little love.
