Videos: Masoukishin F Second Promo

Posted on : 30-07-2014 | By : | In : Videos

What with the release of Masoukishin F not far off, Bandai are stepping up with a new promo video. Despite the omnipresent boob jiggle with the various female cut-ins, the game’s animations are looking pretty damn good. Bar that, the boxset is also pimped a bit too but apart from the soundtracks there’s not much else to really recommend it. In any case, we’ll be picking this up come August 28th and you can pre-order it here.

There is a fine line between awesome and creepy, and I think this game kinda wanders across it a couple of times.

Also, it looks like Bandai’s famous 2D animation technique has come full circle, possibly for the second time. These seem to be multi jointed 2D sprite constructions with 3D effects and such (as is the current norm) but this time built entirely of pre-rendered sprites from 3D sources. It even looks like maybe Bandai saved up some money and bought SGI’s old collection of Onyx workstations to render this stuff. All the mechs are…fuzzy looking. Like they have tennis ball fuzz armor.
