What with Gundam Memories’ release a few weeks away, some more screenshots have surfaced on 4Gamer showing the variety of mobile armors in the game. Not to mention outlining three multiplayer modes; Time Match, Death Match and MS Hunt. The piece also spooges over a variety of new Gundam SEED Destiny units in the game, so your mileage may vary on that. We’ll be picking this up on release too, so a review will be forthcoming.

Too bad that none of the gundam games for psp were translated, I suppose it will be the same for this one…

True…I mean, RISE FROM THE ASHES and several PS2 Gundam games were brought to the States (and also the DYNASTY WARRIORS GUNDAM games).

Still, I am glad that the PSP has no region coding when it comes to games, so I was able to buy and play some of them. And I liked them all, despite the language barrier.

I think the big barrier for the PSP games is the fact that outside of Japan the PSP hadn’t caught on as well, it did repectably, but not like the insanity back in it’s home country. Plus, the sheer amount of voice work for those games and the translating could easilly be used as an excuse.

Good points–also, I agree about the work needed in terms of translation and voice work–it isn’t cheap to do, either.

That said, though…I am still glad for the PSPs lack of region coding in terms of its games. And I’m still glad that I kept mine.

The 3DS on the other hand….

Who cares? How many times do you need the One Year War explained to you anyway?

%75 of all Gundam games can be played by non-English speakers with no issues. Unfortunately the Giren’s Greed series is not one of them, but stuff like this or Extreme Versus…no problem, seriously.

Not that I enjoyed Destiny, but I can honestly say my complaints had little to do with the CE setting or general aesthetic of the mobile suits, and everything to do with the train wreck of a storyline and characterization.

Hear hear!

Does anyone else think the unit in “MS Hunt” looks like Red Frame? If it’s in there, then I’m definitely getting this game.
