News: Transformers War for Cybertron Trailer

The upcoming High Moon developed Transformers game; War for Cybertron has received a new trailer. It’s entirely cinematic footage, with nothing actually in-game, but again it’s nice to see the stylistic approach they’ve taken with the designs is more progressive than the live action nonsense we were subjected to. If anything, a full blown movie like the cinematic below would indeed be most welcome. Still no word on a release date as yet but it’s apparently scheduled for some time this year.

Now THAT’s the kind of transformers redesign I can get to like, not the scrapmetals from the movie. Then again, the designs got a bit of War Within flavour to them.

And Omega Supreme vs Trypticon? Where is the lovable Metroplex? 😡

Welding decpitiscum to his fists as to better convey his hatred whilst crushing OTHER deceptiscum

They settled on Omega first, then needed a foil to make the sides symmetric, but it couldn’t be Devastator because he’s a combiner and Omega isn’t. So what’s the next thing when you think “giant decepticon”?

It works because Trypticon is remembered as Godzilla foremost, and the city-bot aspect comes only second.
