News: Super Robot Wars Z 2 Original Mecha announced

Over at Famitsu, they’ve got some nice new shots of the OG mecha for the upcoming Super Robot Wars Z 2. Called the Blasta, it’s meant as a primary means of defense against “dimensional monsters”. Curiously it’s designed by the lesser known Seiji Ono, though he has at least worked on an SRW anime in the past. Some comments have also likened the design to the SVMS-01 Union Flag from Gundam 00, though to our eyes it’s more Dragonar really. In any case, this will be the first of two OG units spread over as many games (bets are on for a super robot inspired OG mecha with a female pilot for the next game). You can pre-order the game here.

Instead of saying OG, you should put “Original” in the title. OG means the Original Generation series.
To me the title reads “Super Robot Wars Z2 Original Generation Mecha announced” and that implies some crossover with the SRW OG series.
Even on the official website they call him the “Original” not OG, as OG means something else.

Really? I’ve seen OG and Original interchanged a few times. If it really bothers you I can change the title though 🙂
As much as I like seeing new OG stuff, really hope Gunleon makes a significant return. I remember seeing a tiny shot of Rand in some of the early famitsu scans, but nothing since. 🙁
Makes me worried he and the Leon will be present but really unimportant from now on, or at least until the next Z.
Well the og looks more i dont know hes doesnt look like a hero O_O i hope there will be other ogs than him like alpha 2 4 ogs T_T
