I’m going to say the game looks a lot better in motion than the screenshot seems to imply. Watching the linked video is definitely recommended.

The backgrounds give off what I’d call a distinctly bleak Votoms feels to them, which I’d appreciate even if this game didn’t already look amazing. Any game that cribs from Votoms’ Kummen arc is okay in my book.
