News: Gundam Extreme Versus Screenshot Extravaganza

Over at 4gamer they have some excellent new coverage for Gundam Extreme Versus, featuring a veritable overload of new screenshots for the hotly anticipated arcade game. Most of these feature the new units that will be featured in the game, as well as the more familiar entries from the previous Gundam Versus games. In any case, it’s still looking utterly superb and considering the System 357 board it’s running on we can’t wait to get our mitts on the inevitable PlayStation 3 port.
Man some of the lighting in these screens looks drop dead amazing (especially the one where the original Gundam is facing the Elmeth.) I hope this will also be the definitive version of the VS. games gameplay wise too.
Definitely agreeing with you on the quality of the lighting. Some of the scenes with 0080’s Zaku II Kai look like they were straight from the animation, rather than being computer-drawn.
The lighting on the Gundams looks great, too, it’s good to see the Zaku II Kai getting the respect it deserves. I’ve always considered it the real “hero” mecha of 0080.
