News: Gundam Extreme Versus Full Boost Announced

In the latest issue of Famitsu it’s been revealed that the next Gundam Versus arcade iteration set for release will be called Gundam Extreme Versus Full Boost. Interestingly the new “full boost” name also refers to what sounds like a new boost cancelling mechanic, somewhat similar to the next dash but instead with the ability to counter an enemy’s attack. The timing and the requirements to successfully pull this off sound as though they are suitably tricky, so it shouldn’t be a game breaking mechanic at least. It’s also worth doubly clarifying that this is another arcade iteration, not a console game (as yet at least). Still no word on what sort of architecture the game will run on but we’re guessing it will stick to Namco’s System 357 board, as that’s basically a PS3 in a box (hence ease of porting) and what the last game used.

Full Boost…. this better not be the Arcade Edition of EXVS. I’m really not buying this game twice.

As I said before, better wait a little before buying EXVS, remember that this has CAPCOM’s blood running through the entire disc.

I don’t think I can wait, I can however be completely satisfied with EXVS until the REAL sequel comes out. Not the 1.5.

This was always going happen, they need to keep people in the arcades, so after the PS3 EXVS comes out they have this to draw back fans.

Waiting for a real sequel? If you mean the port to PS3 for the next true game in the series then good luck with that! it wont be out for another 4 years! atleast, the port of it I mean.

This Full Boost probably wont even get a PS3 release anyway, I expect its an arcade exclusive for at least a year, by then the PS3 will be past its prime and people will be whispering about PS4.

Yes its Capcom but its not like Gundam is Street Fighter, EXVS probably wont even get a western release, so theirs nothing for Capcom to milk.

You’ve got a good point there, but there is a chance that we et Full Boost as a DLC
